The island is at its greenest, the hills are still in flower, and daytime temperatures stay comfortable enough for an afternoon ceremony. Days are long, the island is not yet full, and suppliers have more room to give you their attention. The sea is bracing rather than warm.

JULY & AUGUST

The hottest and busiest weeks of the year. Weddings are absolutely possible, but they need to be built around the heat: ceremonies in the late afternoon, shade and water for guests, and dinner as the sun drops. Accommodation and suppliers are booked far ahead, so these dates need the longest lead time.

SEPTEMBER & OCTOBER

For many couples this is the sweet spot. The sea is at its warmest after a whole summer of sun, the light softens beautifully for photographs, and the island grows quieter each week. Early October still gives you reliable weather with far more space to breathe.
